The EPLO has been granted the Observer Status at the International Organization for Migration
The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) has been granted the Observer status at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) which is based in Geneva, Switzerland on December 29, 2016, under the resolution adopted by the IOM Council at its 107th session.
The Director General of IOM Mr William Lacy Swing has welcomed the EPLO with a letter to Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, Director and President of the Board of Directors of the EPLO.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an agency of the United Nations and is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration. It works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners.
With 165 member states and offices in more than 100 countries, IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
The EPLO has already been granted the Observer status at the International Labour Organization (ILO) and at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), both agencies of the United Nations.
