EPLO Malta Meetings

The EPLO Malta Meetings are a common initiative of Professor Giuliano Amato, former Prime Minister of Italy, and Dr. Michael Frendo, former speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malta, organized by the Parliament of Malta and the EPLO. The event gathers distinguished Europeans to discuss important issues of public law. The first Meeting took place on 8 and 9 July 2011 in Valletta, Malta, hosted by the speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malta on the topic “The sovereign Debt crisis and the new boundaries of the State”. On 20 and 21 July 2012, the second Meeting was organized again in Valletta on the topic “The new economic governance of Europe”. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Michael Frendo, and presided by Prof. Giuliano Amato, while Giulio Napolitano, Professor of Public Law at the University Roma Tre, had the scientific responsibility of the event. Representatives of the Maltese academic and political world attended the Meeting.
