Τhe Academy will run according to plan this summer. The program is also offered online in synchronous e-learning mode for those who will not be able to travel.
For the 26th consecutive year, the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) operates the Academy of European Public Law. The study sessions are conducted between the months of August and September at the EPLO premises in Athens and Sounion in Attica region, Greece. Students may obtain a Certificate of Attendance for the attendance of one session, or, an Intensive International Master of Laws (I.I.LL.M.) in European Public Law, a diploma level degree, following the attendance of two sessions and the defense of a dissertation. Early Bird Applications deadline is up to April 24, 2020 while the normal application deadline extends up to July 10.

Structure of the Program
Two 1-week intensive teaching sessions and one guest lecture. At the end of each session students will be tested in the form of an essay. The final session requires attendance at the Annual Reunion of the European Group of Public Law.
Due to the conditions imposed by COVID-19 the Academy is scheduled to run according to plan with taught courses but exceptionally for this summer will also be offered ONLINE with synchronous elearning and with relevant adjustments to the program and a slightly reduced cost. Those who wish to participate in the online mode of the program they should follow the application process as is for the taught program but make sure to state clearly that they apply for the online program.

Second session (1-8/9/2020)
Professor Gordon Anthony (Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland): "The Law of the Public Interest ".
Guest Lectures:
Αikaterini Iliadou, (Professor of Public Law at the Law School of the University of Athens): "Public interest and public intervention in the economy - the example of the energy sector”.
Dr. Prodromos Tsiavos, (Director of Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation Institute (IPR-i), Senior Legal and Policy Advisor, Athena Research and Innovation Centre, Head of Digital Policy and Development, Onassis Group): "Digital Policies in Europe: State of the Art and Challenges".
EGPL REUNION
The 2020 Annual Reunion of the European Group of Public Law (EGPL) that was scheduled for 11-12 September 2020 will not take place because of the situation created by the uncertainty of the evolution of COVID-19. Extra lectures have been added to the program

Eligible applicants should hold a degree in law, or political science, European studies, international affairs and other related fields and should be proficient in English.
Cost of the program and deadline applications
Regular applications will remain open until July 10, 2020 (€ 1100).
Applications deadline extended: July 10, 2020.
The online program will be offered at 1000€ for the normal applications and at 800€ for the early bird applications.
