International Conference: European Cities in crisis

Celebrating  its 180 years the National and Κapodistrian University of Athens (1837-2017), and more specifically the Department of History & Archaeology of the School of Philosophy, in cooperation with the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), organize an international conference under the title “European Cities in crisis: from the 12th century to the present” on February 2-3, 2017 at the Conference Hall of the EPLO in Plaka, Athens (Dioskouron St and Pikilis Square, opposite of the entrance of the Roman Agora).

More than 30 scholars from Greece and the world will present their papers on cases of European cities “in crisis” during the medieval, early modern, modern and contemporary periods and will discuss the urban crisis in history.
