"When the Islamized thought turns into violence" (?): A lecture given by Dr Rifaat Elsaid
Α lecture was given by Dr. Rifaat Elsaid, Head of the Advisory Board of the National Progressive Unionist Party of Egypt and former Senator, on Wednesday, April 29, titled "The Islamized thought when it turns into violence" (?), at the headquarters of the EPLO in Athens.
The event was the 17th of the series of international lectures that have been established by the EPLO in cooperation with the Department of Public Law of the School of Law of the Athens University, in memory of Professor John Anastopoulos (1942-1997).
With a highly structured and quite thorough lecture Dr. Elsaid Rifaat, whose political party participates in the current Government of Egypt, highlighted issues related to the creation, the spreading, the motives and the goals of the Islamic fundamentalism.
The speaker was introduced by Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, Director of the EPLO and Professor Theodora Antoniou, Director of the Department of Public Law in the School of Law of Athens University.
