EGPL member, Prof. Daria de Pretis, elected new Rector of the University of Trento

Prof. Daria de Pretis, member of the European Group of Public Law (EGPL), which is the European Scientific Council of the EPLO, was elected new Rector of the University of Trento on 28 February 2013. 

Prof. de Pretis short biographical note:

Daria de Pretis lives in Trento (Italy) and is professor of Administrative Law at the University of Trento, Faculty of Law.

She studied law at the University of Bologna and at the Juristische Fakultät of the Freie Universität Berlin. She received her law degree at the University of Bologna in 1981.

Former lecturer at the University of Bologna and assistent professor at the University of Trento, she is presently full professor (since 2000) and director of the joint post-graduate School of Law of the Universities of Trento and Verona.

In the last twenty years she has taught Admistrative Law, Adnministrative Justice, Comparative Administrative Law, EU Law, and Law and Gender.

The main areas of her research have been Administrative Law, European Law, Judicial Review of Administrative Action, Town-Planning Law, Gender Studies.

She is author of several publications in these fields.
