Water-Rethink Side Event at the UN in Geneva

On Friday 19th April 2024, the workshop–side event under the title: “Water Reuse as a Pathway to Tackle Water Scarcity” which was organized by the Institute of Sustainable Water Management and Water Law of the European Public Law Organization - EPLO, was successfully completed.

The event took place at the Headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva in the context of the implementation of the Water Rethink project funded by the Natural Environment and Innovative Actions program by the Green Fund of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

Prominent speakers discussed strategies to confront water scarcity which is a grave problem affecting the lives of billions of people worldwide. The presentations brought up issues of concern, such as appropriate water governance, efficient water management, water legislation, and technology application.

This event is part of a series of planned actions within the framework of the Water Rethink project that aim to highlight and analyze the impact of water scarcity and to raise public awareness on this issue.
