Κick-off Meeting of CO2 PACMAN project

EPLO participated as a project partner in the Kick-off meeting of the Interreg Euro-Med project CO2 PACMAN (COoperation and CO-designing PArtnership for CliMAte Neutrality), hosted by the University of Sienna from March 20 to 22 2024.

During the meeting, EPLO presented the communication aspects of the project and the main outputs of WP2 focusing on the coordination of the main activities through which multi-sector and multi-level actors are engaged in the project actions and on the activities related to financing the transition towards climate neutrality, and all activities for the project’s involvement in the Interreg Euro-MED Mission 3 “Green Living Areas”.

CO2 PACMAN has initiated since January 2024 and has a duration of 33 months. It is coordinated by the University of Siena and involves 10 partners from 7 European countries: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. The partnership scheme involves prestigious universities, public bodies, non-profit organizations, business support organization and SMEs.

The project’s main objectives are to guide Mediterranean islands towards climate neutrality, to address the project climate change challenges and promote sustainable development and to translate the climate transition from a theoretical concept to a tangible reality, actively involving academic institutions, public administration, non-profit organization, businesses and citizens. The project activities will focus on three specific islands: Brac in Croatia, Crete in Greece, and Elba in Italy.
