An EPLO Delegation visits Kiyv

During the week of 29 August- 2 September 2022 an EPLO Delegation composed of Prof. José Manuel Sérvulo Correia, Prof. Ioannis Drossos, Journalist Elisavet Kotzia and Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis traveled to Kiyv via Warsaw (by plane) and from Warsaw to Kiyv (by train) to meet the authorities of the country in respect of International Law and the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The EPLO as permanent observer to the General Assembly of the United Nations abides by the UN General Assembly resolution of the 12th of October 2022.

During the visit, the Delegation had the opportunity to be officially received by the Minister of Education and Science, Mr. Serhiy Shkarlet, the Director of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hennadii Nadolenko, the Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Oleksandr Bankov, the Deputy Director of the Office of President Zelensky, responsible for International Organizations, Mr. Andriy Sybiha, and the President of the Parliament, Mr. Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The Delegation also visited Bucha and Irpin. It was also received by the Ambassador of the Italian Republic, H.E. Mr. Pier Francesco Zazo, the Ambassador of Portuguese Republic, H.E. Mr. António Vasco Alves Machado and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Manolis Androulakis.
