Conference with regards to the Revision of the Constitution
An important conference titled: "Proposals for the Revision of the Constitution" was hosted on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the EPLO premises at the Roman Agora organized by the Hellenic Association of Constitutional Law, and attended by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Prokopios Pavlopoulos.
The conference was held in two sessions.
During the first session the speakers included: Mr. Evangelos Venizelos, Professor, Law School of the University of Thessaloniki, MP, former Vice-President of the Government,former Minister, Mr. Kostas Douzinas, Professor, University of London, MP, Mr. Andreas Loverdos, Professor, Panteion University, MP and former Minister, Mr. Theodoros Fortsakis, Professor, Law School of the University of Athens, MP, former Rector of the University of Athens, Mr. Spyridon Flogaitis, Emeritus Professor, Law School of the University of Athens, Director of the European Public Law Organization EPLO, and Secretary General of the Hellenic Union of Constitutional Law, Mr. Petros Pararas, Emeritus Professor, Law School of the University of Thrace, Honorary Vice-President of the Council of State, Mr. Xenofon Kontiadis, Professor, Panteion University of Athens, President of the Board of Directors of the Center for European Constitutional Law, Themistoclis and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation. The coordination for the first session was held by the Emeritus Professor of the Law School of University of Athens, President of the Hellenic Association of Constitutional Law, Honorary President of the International Association of Constitutional Law and President of the Scientific Council of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Kostas Mavrias
During the second session the following speakers participated: Mr. Yannis Drosos, Professor of the Law School of the University of Athens and Managing Director of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, Ms. Elizabeth Besila, Emeritus Professor of the Panteion University and Vice-President of the Hellenic Association of Constitutional Law, Mr. Spyros Vlachopoulos, Professor, Law School of the University of Athens, Mr. Charalambos Anthopoulos Professor, Hellenic Open University, Ms. Ifigenia Kamtsidou, Associate Professor, Law School of the University of Thessaloniki, President of the National Center for Public Administration and Local Governαnce.The coordination for the second session was held by the Professor of the Law School of the University of Athens, Mr. Philippos Spyropoulos.
