Vacancy for Human Resources Assistant

The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant.

Position Title: Human Resources Assistant

Duty Station: Athens, Greece

Type of Appointment: Fixed-term renewable contract

Core tasks: Under the supervision of EPLO’s Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) Director, the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Assisting in the daily operations of the OHRM.
  • Assisting in the Human Resources planning , recruiting process and onboarding.
  • Assisting in the alignment of the staff with EPLO’s mission and organizational culture.
  • Assisting in the compliance of the staff with  EPLO’s regulations policies, directives and procedures.
  • Assisting in addressing the staff development needs and in implementing training programs and initiatives.
  • Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of   staff benefits.
  • Assisting in the efficient communication of Human Resources - related matters.
  • Maintaining and updating the Human Resources database.
  • Monitoring staff attendance and  leaves.
  • Assisting in the implementation of the EPLO staff performance system.
  • Performing any relevant to the Human Resources Management task.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

A university degree from an accredited academic institution in any field, preferably in Law, Political Science, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations or a related field.

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or an MBA will be considered an asset.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills in English.
  • Computer proficiency in standard software applications (MS Office, etc.)
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and a strong sense of thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Experience in an international and multi-cultural environment will be appreciated.

The Human Resources Assistant will be an EPLO staff member and therefore an international civil servant.
