Greek-German Conference on Climate Change Law
The European Public Law Organization (EPLO), in cooperation with the Court of Appeal of Athens, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation, are organizing a conference on the topic:
“Climate Change as a New Legal Challenge in National, International, and EU Legal Orders.”
The conference will take place on Monday, 16 June 2025, at the Goethe-Institut Athens, Omirou 14–16, from 10:30 to 16:00.
The event will feature two main sessions:
- Session I: Legal responses to climate change at the international and EU level
- Session II: Legal approaches to climate change at the national level
The conference aims to explore the evolving legal landscape shaped by the climate crisis, bringing together high-level representatives from the Greek judiciary, the German Embassy, the organizing institutions and experts from both Greece and Germany.
