Albania signs the International Treaty establishing the EPLO
The Minister of Justice, Mr. Nasip Naco, signed the International Treaty establishing the EPLO. The signing ceremony was attended by the EPLO Director, Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis, and the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Tirana, Mr. Leonidas Rokanas.
The signing took place 24 hours following Albania being granted the official status of candidate country for membership in the European Union. Minister Naco highlighted in his speech the significance of these events for the future of the country, as the participation of Albania in the EPLO would be tremendously advantageous for the strengthening of the administrative capacities and the promotion of reforms in the justice system in the process of EU integration.
The EPLO welcomes the Republic of Albania in its Board of Directors and the great prospects this alliance opens for mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in view of the country's European integration.
