The EPLO announces the ΝΕW Institute for Sustainable and Resilient Development and Civil Protection
Athens, June 2025
The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is proud to announce the establishment of the Institute for Sustainable and Resilient Development and Civil Protection, a new hub dedicated to fostering innovation, education and research in the vital areas of sustainability, community resilience, and civil protection.
The Institute aims to support EU policies on green transition, climate action, and crisis management, while promoting sustainable development and enhancing civil protection systems across Europe and beyond. It will serve as a platform for academic activities, expertise sharing and international cooperation.
The Institute's governance includes a Scientific Council composed of experts from various disciplines and its activities will include research, training programs, and publications, all conducted in accordance with the principles of sustainability, equality and inclusion.
The establishment of the Institute reflects EPLO’s unwavering commitment to advancing legal and policy frameworks for a sustainable and resilient future.
