The Kick-off meeting of the EU funded Erasmus+ project “Voices of Immigrant Women”(VIW) successfully held online on 23 and 24 November 2020
The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is participating as a partner in a new project, funded by the European Union (Erasmus + Programme – Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education). The partnership includes seven organizations, representing six (Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia) countries and is led by the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain. The project started in October 2020 and will last for two years.
The kick-off meeting which was held online on 23-24 November 2020 was an opportunity for the partners to get acquainted with the activities, methods, expected results and outputs of the project, as well as to get to know each other.
The VIW project aims to answer to the need of students of developing better knowledge and awareness toward the theme of female migrations considering the interrelation of factors such as: gender, status, ethnicity, age, religion, origin, political opinion. The project also aims to make the Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) more inclusive by promoting a holistic comprehension of the gender issues in migration flows
The project will produce three main outputs:
- Mapping of Case studies of Successful Integration of Women;
- An e-learning course preparing students of social sciences to deal with women migrants’ integration;
- A set of policy recommendations providing practically oriented intervention proposal to policy-makers involved at all level in Higher Education and integration of migrants policies.
