MoU between EPLO and the Shanghai University (SHUPL)
A Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 25, 2019 between the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL) represented by Ms Hu Jiling, Vice President of SHUPL, Mr Ye Wei, Vice Director, Department of Finance, Mr Liu Xian, Vice Dean, School of Business and Management, Ms Jiang Chen, Vice Director, Department of Personnel, Ms Wang Yao, Chief of International Program Division, Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Ms Monica Yu of EastWest MEcenter and the EPLO, represented by its Director, Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis, Mr Thanos Niforos, EPLO Director of Fund Raising Affairs, Dr. Spyros Kouvelis, Director, Sustainable Development Goals Center on Governance & Public Law, Dr. George Kalpadakis, Director, Institute for Local Governance and Policy Innovation, Tassos Kantianis, Program Officer, Dpt. of Technical Cooperation & Dpt of Educational Activities and Uta Wancke, Assistant to the Director General for Education Activities.
Τhe Memorandum of Understanding agrees to the international legal three months’ study & internship program, with the aims to bring SHUPL students practical experience through studying and internship abroad. The Program is designed and operated by European Public Law Organization and it includes internships and lectures in order to provide learning opportunities for students to encounter international perspectives and connect these new perspectives with their experiences of the local culture, to gain work experience from the internship component and practical knowledge from the academic component of the Program, in addition to relevant skills as the Program gives them the opportunity to develop their abilities in leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and public speaking.The Program challenges students to gain independence and self-confidence as they manage working and studying in a new environment and interacting with others in English.
