The EPLO implements a large number of programs funded by the European Union and other international donors, assisting governments and institutions around the world. The main areas of intervention comprise: governance, the rule of law, human rights, public administration, democratization, legislative approximation to the EU acquis, migration and sustainable development. The position is located within the Dept. of Technical co-operation of EPLO. The candidate will be involved in the HORIZON Europe Project “Nutrient balance and Resource Optimization in Regional Ecosystems through holistic, sustainable, and zero-pollution solutions” – GREENHOOD.
GREENHOOD’s main objective is to demonstrate an effective approach to re-balance nutrient flows and reduce Nitrogen and Phosphorous emissions, in line with the upcoming EU Integrated Nutrient Management Action Plan (INMAP) and in accordance with the strategic documents of the EU’s Biodiversity Strategy, the Farm to Fork Strategy, the Zero Pollution Action Plan, and the Blue Economy strategy. Through targeted efforts in regional hotspots, guided by robust nutrient budgeting methodologies, and collaborative testing of diverse innovations with regional stakeholders, GREENHOOD aims to pave the way for societies to operate within safe ecological boundaries while satisfying socioeconomic needs. Five countries (Spain, Netherlands-Belgium, Norway and Finland) will be participating in four demonstrators, each representing different cases of unbalanced regions and focusing on diverse emitting hotspots, including both diffuse and point-based emitting sectors.
Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to:
- support the identification of the regional needs, matching governance innovations
- support stakeholder management through active outreach to relevant stakeholders and engaging them in the project’s network
- coordinate communication activities throughout the project's lifetime
- assist in the creation of the Communication Plan/ dissemination strategy
- provide vivid content for the Social media channels of the project throughout the project's lifetime
- be responsible for all events, workshops, seminars, webinars, etc. of EPLO related to GREENHOOD
- assist EPLO in quadruple helix engagement activities and capacity-building activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- University degree in marketing, PR, and/or communication-related fields from an accredited academic institution
Experience
- At least 8 years of professional experience in communication positions in private/public sector
- At least 4 years of experience in positions related to event management or public relations in private/ public sector
- At least 4 years of experience in living labs & co-creation methodologies with stakeholders
- Network of stakeholders in green growth, sustainable innovation.
Languages
- Fluency (oral and written) in English

- Professionalism: Knowledge and understanding of concepts and approaches relevant to particular functional area. - Communication: Excellent oral and written communication, writing and presentation skills. Listening and communicating clearly and effectively, adapting delivery to audience.
- Planning and Organizing: Setting clear and achievable goals consistent with agreed priorities for self and others.
