Vacancy for full-time Administrative Officer for Educational Activities

EPLO is currently recruiting a full-time Administrative Officer to support its education activities in Athens and Legrena.

Core Functions and Responsibilities

• Support the Director General for Education in the administrative management of the education activities of the Organization.

• Perform all relevant to the education activities administrative tasks.

• Support the Organization in all education activities and affairs including Summer Schools, trainings, workshops, conferences, meetings, study visits and other events.

• Provide administrative support to the European Law and Governance School (ELGS). Specifically, assist with the daily operation of the School classes, liaise regularly with the students, Resident Faculty, Professors and relevant Academies and Institutes, external collaborators and experts, funding agencies and institutions

• Organize and maintain all relevant documents.

• Draft the minutes of the official meetings, agendas, events and other relevant project documents.

• Support the Director General for Education in her daily communication.

• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (including letters e - mails and packages)٫ arrange travels and accommodations.

• Operate the copying and printing equipment.

• Upload the classes schedule on student’s platform and update all relevant data.

Required:

• A University degree from an accredited academic institution in any field, preferably in Law, Political Science, Social Sciences, Economics, educational management, general administration, international relations or a related field, or a master’s degree in one of the above fields.

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience as administrative assistant/officer.

• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills in English. Additional language(s) would be appreciated.

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint); comfort using electronic platforms and other databases

• Good communication skills;

• Ability to work as part of a diverse team;

The Administrative Officer for education activities shall be staff member of the EPLO (www1.eplo.int) and therefore an international civil servant.
