Dialogue4Tourism Hybrid Event by the Circular Economy Institute
2 March 2023
Dialogue4Tourism project travels to enhance sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean!
In January 2023, the EPLO/CC attended the Lead Partner Seminar for Governance Projects in Marseille, France.
The event was organized by Interreg Euro-MED Joint Secretariat, inviting all Lead Partners of approved
Governance Projects (GP) and their project partners. | In March 2023, EPLO/CC was honored to host the first D4T
consortium meeting in the EPLO premises at the Roman Agora, Athens, back-to-back with the by invitation-only
event “Dialogue4Tourism - a common vision of tourism governance in the Mediterranean basin”. Two days of
constructive and inspirational work set the foundations of a successful start of this 7-year project. Representatives
from 3 Ministries, 5 Regions, Interreg Euro-Med Joint Secretariat and all 4 Missions, UNEP-MAP, the UfM,
NECSTouR and other important Network Organizations, Academic and Research Institutions attended the event.
In May 2023, EPLO/CC travelled to Florence to
attend the event “Towards a more sustainable
tourism in the Mediterranean – 3 Interreg
programs joining forces”. Interreg Euro-MED,
Interreg Italy-Maritime and NEXT MED got
together to promote a next level of
collaboration; among different programs, for
common priorities. This event was of great
significance, as it laid the basis for testing the
Flagship Mechanism. EPLO/CC, having the role
of creating alliances with other programs in
support of the JS and the forthcoming projects,
held important meetings with key actors of the
Dialogue4Tourism partners during the kick-off meeting at the EPLO
premises at the Roman Agora, Athens North and the South of Mediterranean.
CRESCENTO events: EPLO/CC travelled to Milan and Zagreb in order to meet with the other CRESCENTO partners
in the framework of exchanging updates, coordinating forthcoming project activities and discussing the project’s
legacy.
