The Institute for Sustainable Development hosted 25 students and faculty members from the Haslam College of
Business at the University of Tennessee at the EPLO premises at the Roman Agora for a Sustainability Talk on 23
May 2023. The Policy and Programs Director, Ms. Christina Deligianni, presented the Sustainable Development
Goals Implementation in Greece with specific mention of the Greek Voluntary National Report presented to the
High-Level Political Forum of the United Nations in 2022 and specific recommendations by the Institute for the
way forward.

Two EU Green Week Events
8 June 2023

In the context of the EU Green Week, the Institute for Sustainable
Development at EPLO along with Verimpact and the Athanasios C.
Laskaridis Charitable Foundation organized two EU Green Week Partner
events on 8 June to celebrate the occasion. The “Think Green, Go
Sustainable” in person conference in Athens at the King George Hotel
focused on marine litter, green skills, green entrepreneurship and
sustainable design among others, with speakers from the academia, the
start-up ecosystem, the industry and the policy-making world and the
Sustainable Finance Workshop in English featured prominent speakers Sustainable Finance & Investment
