EPLO Executive Fellowship Program
Following the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the EPLO and the Mathias Corvinus
Collegium (MCC), Hungary last year, a special fellowship program was introduced between the two institutions.
According to the program, students who originated from the MCC network can travel in Greece in order to fulfill,
in cooperation with the ELGS, a three-month training program, which includes involvement to the ELGS’ daily
activities and also research on a specific field. Based on the agreement, the ELGS has the obligation to nominate
a lecturer as a supervisor to the student with the aim to support her/him during the research and writing process.
In the frame of this cooperation agreement, Ms. Dorottya Klára Somogyi spent a semester with the EPLO, from
19 September to 16 December 2022 and Ms. Dorottya Haraszti also joined the ELGS until 19 May 2023. During
this period, two joint activities took place:
In December 2022, a Hungarian delegation of students
and researchers visited EPLO. This initiative aimed for the
students to gain insight into the work of leading think
tanks around the world through the Fellowship Program.
During the trip, the students were given a comprehensive
overview of Greece and migration issue by Ambassador
Haupt Erik. After spending a whole day at the EPLO
building, where they were first informed about the
organization’s activities, the ELGS and the opportunities
offered to students, they were given a lecture by Dr.
Taygeti Michalakea on Business and Human Rights.
