“Fear in face of Fear”- A scientific event in cooperation with “Sto Kokkino” radioThe subject of the scienti c event held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the premise of the EPLO in Kolonaki,Athens, titled:” Fear in face of Fear” wasindeed very interesting and current. The title of the event related to the impact of fear and anxiety on the society during the economic crisis, a situation that causes signi cant psychological burden threatening the physical as well as mental health of the people and the social cohesion. The speakers included: Professors ofthe Democritus University of Thrace, Mr. Theodoros Georgiou and Mr. Charalambos Poulopoulos, as well as Ms Katerina Matsa, Psychiatrist. The event was coordinated by the journalist Mr. Costas Arvanitis, Director of the radio station “Sto Kokkino”.3rd Seminar for Judges and Attorneys in CyprusThe Supreme Court and the Legal Service of the Republic of Cyprus in cooperation with the EPLO held atwo-day Seminar, on May 28-29, 2015 under the title “Rule of Law, Judicial Protection and Economic Crisis.” The seminar was the third organized in the eld of Administrative Law.Judges of the Supreme Court, members of the Legal Service, members of the Cyprus BarAssociation, Legal Of cers of the Supreme Court and other stakeholders attended. The seminar was held in the lecture hall of the Supreme Court and was addressed by the President of the Supreme Court, a representative of the Attorney General, the Minister of Justice and Public Order and Prof. S. Flogaitis, Director of the EPLO. Coordination was made by Mr. Athanasios Randos, Vice President of the State Council, Ms. Rena Papaeti, on behalf of the Legal Service and Mr. Achillea Emilianides, on behalf of the Cyprus Bar Association.ACTIVITY REPORT 2016 125
