Its mission focuses on the development of socially and professionally responsible and proactive leaders and managers, for both the private and public sector, through training, consulting and research, with holistic values and competencies.The Institute offers modern tools and innovative methods in the design and implementation of integrated interventions on an institutional, organizational and operational basis. With regard to Training, the Institute offers tailor-made educational programs with respect to the needs of the target audience. Our trainers derive from the EPLO network of experts and constitute eminent professionals and academics with proven record both in Greece and abroad.The Institute has successfully accomplished its participation as of cial campaign partnerin the campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) entitledNew co operations: During the last 18 months the Institute for Management and Governance of the EPLO has signed two Memorada of Understanding: With the Laboratory for the Research of Medical Law and Bioethics of the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki, on April 1, 2016. With the Hellenic Regulatory Body of Nurses, on November 11, 2015."Manage stress in workplace". This Agency is committed to making Europe a safer, healthier and more productive place to work. It promotes a culture of risk prevention to improve working conditions in Europe.The European Institute of Management and Governance was accepted again as an of cial partner of the new (2016-2017) campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) entitled "Healthy work places for all ages". Pan-European and international companies and organizations are encouraged to become part of a privileged circle of campaign partners actively participating in the Healthy Workplaces Campaign.Being a campaign partner means committing to some or all of the following activities: Distributing and publishing informationabout the campaign; Promoting the campaign through thewebsite, electronic newsletter, etc.; Organizing events and activities such asseminars, workshops and training sessions devoted to managing work-related stress and psychosocial risks; Producing best-practice videos or multimedia DVDs.In the rst campaign the Institute’scontribution mainly consisted of two activities: The rst one was the new Distance LearningProgram entitled “Psychosocial dimensions of the relations in workplace - The development of handling skills”.This program is part of the educational activities of the Institute, in order to respondto the current increasing needs of the social system for ‘lifelong’ learning through alternative education programs.102 ACTIVITY REPORT 2016
