Why the ELGS is a unique SchoolABOUT USNEWSProf. Mario P. Chiti, President of the Faculty Board of the ELGSThe primary purpose of the School isConcerning education and research, on the other hand, a doctoral program has been established. All while maintaining the two sectors for Law and Political Science.As the name of the School indicates - according even to the names of the EPLO and of other related organizations -, it is an Organization mainly focused on Europe (not to be understood only as the European Union) and its many subject areas of legal and social sciences.But in an interconnected world, from the point of view of the studies and researches, the School aims to represent also non-European concerns and interests, especially about Latin America, Africa and Asia".“Ambitious projects of this kind are obviously complex to accomplish”, said Prof. Chiti concluding his speech. “Because of this, the preparation was slow, but necessary to de ne the curricula, the admission criteria and thenot to add a new university institution to the already many excellent European universities; but to create for the rst time - this is the unique characteristic of the School - a common and uniform curriculum; in orderto train young graduates able to operatein any country and in supranational and international organizations”, said Prof. MarioP. Chiti, President of the Faculty Board of the ELGS, who spoke rst at the ceremony at the Presidential Palace of the Italian Republic.“The School, he said, is composedof three bodies: the Board of Trustees,chaired by President Amato; the Councilof Representatives, which consists of representatives of all the institutions that have collaborative relationships with the School; and the Faculty, with its Faculty Board”."The initiatives are of three types, addedProf. Chiti: of education, research,dissemination of knowledge and experience examination.(including in the form of institutional cooperation, the institution building).
