The projectpursues the objectives of both training and networking, through the organization of three country seminars, one international workshop and one open conference. It intends to provide interactive and in- depth training to Judges and Prosecutors from Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece, who are involved in the adjudication of EU Competition Law affairs in their countries.In particular, the project aims at the training of national judges in the context of the enforcement of the European competition rules, including Articles 101 and 102 of TFEU, and the State Aid rules, as well as merger control and private enforcement (particularly the quanti cation of antitrust damages).The participants will be introduced to key concepts of competition law and applied economics and, with the use of case studies, they will be trained to analyze in depth themes that are central to modern judicial enforcement of competition law.The project shall also identify the most important problemsthe judiciary faces in every participating project country when processing and adjudicating EU and national competition law cases that need to be addressed so that competition law is better enforced at Member State level.108 ACTIVITY REPORT 2016
