EDUCATION Program and structureThe Academy of European Public Law offers the Certi cate of Attendance in European Public Law and the Intensive International Master of Laws (I.I.LL.M.) in European Public Law.To obtain the I.I.LL.M. students attend 2 Academy study sessionsof 3 weeks each. They must also produce a dissertation and defend it before an ad hoc international jury panel. The Academy study sessions are conducted annually during the months of August and September.Students can complete their I.I.LL.M. program in a period longer than 13 months. In addition, students may choose to produce their dissertation following the attendance of their second study session. In this case, the students defend their dissertation no later than three years following their attendance of the second study session.Each session consists of a general lecture course and three weekly seminar courses. Classes are taught by leading academics and experts in the  eld, members of the European Group of Public Law (EGPL). During the third weekend of the study session, students have the opportunity to attend the annual conference of the EGPL, and bene t from interacting with personalities at the forefront of developments in the  eld.These intense summer study sessions are intended for candidates who, due to personal or professional obligations, do not wish to takean entire year off to study. Additionally, the programs are intended for candidates who are interested in further developing their knowledge of European public law, meeting the world’s leading experts in this  eld, improving their English and French language skills, and experiencing academia in Europe.
