ABOUT USGovernanceBOARD OF DIRECTORS - GENERAL ASSEMBLYAmong the governing bodies of the EPLO, is the Board of Directors and the General Assembly together with the Director, the European Scienti c Council and Executive Committee.DIRECTORThe EPLO Director is the President of the Board of Directors. The Director representsthe Organization and undertakes such actions as are conducive for the attainment of the purposes and accomplishments of its activities.EUROPEAN SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL (EUROPEAN GROUP OF PUBLIC LAW)The European Scienti c Council of the EPLO is comprised of the European Group of Public Law (EGPL), created in 1989 as a European network of judges, jurists, academics and practitioners with the purpose of advancing and contributing to the development of European Public Law. The Council serves as the EPLO’s scienti c advisory body offering recommendations, as well as essential feedback on the activities, while evaluating the information accumulated through the activities in respect to its applications and effects on a political and sociological context.Since its establishment, the EGPL hasgradually expanded its membership uniting today 241 judges, jurists, law academicsand practitioners, leading gures in their eld, appointed in the government sectorsuch as the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the Conseil d’Etat of France, Constitutional and High Courts, constituting one of the most innovative and successful legal associations worldwide.ADMINISTRATIVE COURT,OMBUDSMAN, BOARD OF AUDITORS, EXECUTIVE COMMITTEEThe EPLO governance also includes an Administrative Court, composed of a President and two members, as well as an Ombudsman established to resolve grievances, a Board of Auditors established to observe the ef ciency of the nancial procedures and the accounting system and to perform the overall audit of the accounts of the EPLO. Finally, an Executive Committee, composed of four members residing in Greece, and the EPLO Directoras the President of the Committee, is set upto take decisions and approve acts of daily management of the EPLO.DIRECTORS OF BRANCHES AND REGIONAL OFFICESEach Branch and Regional Of ce of the EPLO has a Director.26 ACTIVITY REPORT 2016
