NetworksFrom an event organized by the Institute for Humanities and Culture Nicos SvoronosMediterranean relations, which operates as a think tank and an educational institution, on a level of postgraduate studies and on the basis of multidisciplinary approach.The Institute is also a research center, and a center eligible for undertaking programs and projects on relevantissues, in connection with the events and developments in the Mediterranean region.The Training Institute for Law and Governance is a training unit aiming at the dissemination of knowledge and training within the Law and Governance sector.For this purpose, the Institute implements educational, scienti c and training activities, providing specialized educational preparatory programs for the candidates participating in professional examinations in Greece and abroad.The Institute for Local Governance and Policy Innovation is the newest Institute of the EPLO and has been established in 2016 aiming to promote best practices in local governance in a wide range of policy areas.►For more please refer to the Institutes section The EPLO, since its initial formation as “European Public Law Center” back in 1995, became a member of EUNIDA-European Network of EU Member State Implementing Development Agencies, which was established in 2000 with a public mandate to develop, manage and implement sustainable development programs on behalf of the European Union. In 2010, the EPLO also became a founding member of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and in 2011 it established a Global Network of Greek Lawyers (GNGL) working abroad. Since 2015, the EPLO became a memberof the Concordia, a non-pro t organization that promotes public-private partnerships and cross-sectoral collaboration through a diverse number of industries and geographic regions.  Through the Greek Center of European Studies and Research (EKEME), the EPLO participates and represents Greece in the Trans-European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA). The EPLO was granted an observer status at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in July 2015 and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in October 2015, both agencies of the United Nations.►For more please refer to the Institutional Development sectionACTIVITY REPORT 2016 29
