ABOUT USThe European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is an International Organization with headquarters in Athens, Greece. It was established on June 21, 2007 as the continuation of the European Public Law Center, founded in 1995.Today, 15 Countries, the European Commission, the Council of Europe,4 public authorities and 63 Universities and Institutions from all over the world are represented in its Board of Directors.The mission of the EPLO is the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the area of public law lato sensu, including but not limited to inter alia national, comparativeand European public law, human rightslaw, environmental law, law in general, governance, public policies, and the promotion of European values through public law in a dialogue of civilizations worldwide. In order to accomplish its purposes the EPLO develops, organizes, promotes and supports scienti c, research, educational, training, teaching and institution building and other activities, and provides assistance for democratic institutions worldwide.The EPLO promotes the cooperation with other institutions, bodies and organizations, in particular organizations in the UnitedMembers of the Board of Directors, after the 2015 meeting, in the front of the new building of the EPLO under the hill of Acropolis.Nations system. To this date the Organization has executed more than 200 projects and activities in over 70 countries.The EPLO actively supports the initiatives of the European Group of Public Law, including the European Review of Public Law, initiatives highlighting the development in the eld.22 ACTIVITY REPORT 2016
