Project Title:
Training on the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg
An educational program of the Academy of Transparency & Human Rights (ATHR) was conducted successfully from 20 to 25 March 2017.
The program under the title “European Court of Human Rights” took place in Strasbourg, France, and included lectures and visits to the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights, where seventeen selective students attended a public Hearing of the Grand Chamber.
During their visit to the Council of Europe the students were received by Mr. Christos Giakoumopoulos (Director of Human Rights, Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law) and Mr. Mikhail Lobov (Ηead of Human Rights Policy and Cooperation Department). They also visited the European Court of Human Rights where they were received by Judges Mr. Dimitri Lebov and Mr. Krzysztof Wojtyczek.
At the closing ceremony Mr. Guy de Vel, former Director General of the Council of Europe and distinguished member of the European Scientific Council of the EPLO, awarded the certificates of attendance to the participating students.
