Prof. Nicole Belloubet appointed as New Minister of Justice in France

The French jurist and politician Prof. Nicole Belloubet-Frier has been appointed as Minister of Justice in France on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, in the second Édouard Philippe Government, under President Emmanuel Macron. 

Prof. Nicole Belloubet, former Rector of Toulouse Education Authority, was the first woman nominated in France’s Constitutional Council back in 2013 and has stayed in office until now. She is also a prominent member of the European Group of Public Law (EGPL) that serves as the EPLO’s scientific advisory body.
