International treaties and disputes in Eastern Mediterranean

A round-table discussion under the subject “International treaties and politics in the Eastern Mediterranean: The Treaty of Lausanne and other arrangements”  is organized by the “Institute for the Mediterranean” of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) on Wednesday, February 8, 2017  at 16.30, at the conference hall of the EPLO in Athens (Plaka area, Dioscouron St and Pikilis Square, opposite the entrance of the Roman Agora).  

Ambassadors, diplomats, politicians, academics and journalists will discuss the situation of today, in light of the existing international treaties, and the current disputes over sovereignty issues.

The main speaker will be: Angelos Sirigos, Professor, Stavros Lygeros, Journalist and Charis Karabarbounis, Ambassador a.h. The discussion will be moderated by Sotirios Varouxakis, Ambassador and Director of “Institute for the Mediterranean”. Welcome address by Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, Director of the EPLO.
