Academic Mobility Program for RANEPA by the Academy for Transparency & Human Rights

An academic mobility program of the Academy for Transparency & Human Rights (ATHR) of the EPLO in collaboration with the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) was conducted successfully from 25 to 31 March 2018.

The program under the title “Council of Europe - European Court of Human Rights” took place in Strasbourg, France, and included lectures and visits to the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights where fifteen selective students attended a public Hearing of the Grand Chamber.

During their visit to the Council of Europe the students were received by Ms. Albina Ovcearenco, Political Advisor, Council of Europe, Directorate of Political Affairs and Mr. Mikhail Lobov, Ηead of Human Rights Policy and Cooperation Department of the Council of Europe, while they had the opportunity to attend a lecture by Mr. Gianluca Esposito, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) who presented the institution and its work.

They also visited  the European Court of Human Rights where they were received by Judge Mr. Dimitri Dedov.

At the closing ceremony, Prof. Eser Karakas, distinguished member of the European Scientific Council of the EPLO, awarded the certificates of attendance to the participating students.
